These were first discovered by people mining for gold in Montana. It was in 1895 that a man named Jake Hoover collected enough blue pebbles to fill a cigar box which he sent to one of the best known jewelers of the time, Tiffany \u0026amp; Co. It was the \u003cb\u003efamed \u003c\/b\u003eDr. George Frederick Kunz, who worked for Tiffany's at the time who first identified them as sapphire. This cigar box of blue pebbles was never returned to Mr. Hoover. In its place a check for  payment for the pebbles arrived.\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv class=\"gmail_default\"\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv class=\"gmail_default\"\u003eThis Medium Stoned Lock is 2.5cm long and 10MM wide and the Lock itself has a circumference of 3mm with the closure at 5.5MM.
